Well why do american footballers have to wear all that excessive padding and helmets. It's no where near as physical as rugby, so if they're so tough why don't they go without it and just have their mouth guards to protect them like the rugby boys? 100percentkiwimade-football is a different sport..we do have a rugby team..so talk shit about our rugby team not football because its a whole different sport..a rugby player cant play with helmet and pads and be as good as he was in rugby..but a football player can play without his helmet and pads and still be good or better because without helmet and pads he'll be alot lighter.

only thing a footballer need to do to play rugby is to learn rules,thats it..if a rugby player want to play american football he would have to learn to play with "excessive paddings and helmet" and the rules of the game..so if you ask me,it takes more skills to play american football..thats why jonah lomu refused to take the millions that was offered to him to play in the NFL..he wont be that good in the NFL..dont compare the two games.
